As of March 1, 2019, all new Class 1 drivers will be required to take Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT), in compliance of Alberta Transportation legislation, in order to obtain their commercial driver’s licence. The Class 1 knowledge and road tests will be expanded to encompass the new training requirements. All new drivers will be required to demonstrate their competency in all the training components of MELT.
Class 1 MELT Refresher $1250
For students who recieved their Alberta Class 1 License after October 10, 2018
• 8 hours in Truck to review changes in MELT
• Use of tractor trailer for MELT Road Test
