What to Expect for Winter 2021
Technical Requirements
Some remote classes will be delivered via Zoom in combination with myClass. Your instructors will be in touch with you regarding the platform(s) used for each course. If you are wondering what capabilities your computer should have for remote and/or online delivery, please see our minimum device requirements.
To help increase connectivity access for our students, GPRC has teamed up with Telus to provide Smart Hubs for those who have limited connection to the internet. To inquire about obtaining a Smart Hub, please email HelpDesk@gprc.ab.ca.
Student Supports
The student hub is a place on the GPRC website where you can find all support information in one place, including technical support should you require it! You can access the Hub through the Student Life section of the website.

Academic Advising
Academic Advisors help you to plan your program. If you are in a 1-2 year Certificate or Diploma program you will be introduced to your Academic Advisor in your program specific orientation at the end of this section. If you are in a University Transfer program, you can access an Academic Advisor in Student Services - learn more about this in College-Wide Orientation on D2L.
Students' Association
The Students' Association of Grande Prairie Regional College (SAGPRC) is a nonprofit organization located within Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC). SAGPRC is proudly student owned and operated. We are constantly thinking of ways we can help GPRC students ensure they receive the best experience possible. SAGPRC offers students many different benefits such as the health and dental program*, a relaxing lounge, study space and fun events and activities. Most importantly we provide student representation to College faculty and administration, as well as municipal and provincial levels of government.

*Registration in most full-time credit programs means you are automatically enrolled in the mandatory extended student health and dental plan. You may opt out of this plan if you can prove extended coverage by another plan. You must opt out each year. Please refer to eligibility requirements on the SAGPRC website.
Learning Commons
The Learning Commons is more than just a library! It is the academic heart of our campuses and a place for students, faculty, and community to engage, learn and discover. All library services as well as testing accommodation, research support, technology assistance, accessibility services and tutor supports will be provided. Learning Commons Services and study space will be appointment based for the fall semester. Download the GPRC app to access the reservation booking system.
Please visit our website for up-to-date information regarding access to our services and policies around accessing services during COVID-19.
