The Collins Recital Hall, dedicated on October 16, 2010, honours Muriel and Clement Collins who were generous supporters of the arts, education and literacy, for their lifetime contributions to the benefit of our college and our community. Their quiet support has encouraged numerous young people to pursue advanced education, and their philanthropic gifts have brought countless performances and speakers to our community over the decades.
The Recital Hall seats up to 150 people, with retractable tiered seating of 90, plus space for 60 chairs on the floor. To accommodate the vast array of users, there is a raised stage area with a built-in overhead projector and large drop down screen, along with stage lighting and a sound system for the more theatrical performances.
A unique feature of the Collins Recital Hall is that it is attached to a recording studio, allowing any events held in the Hall to be recorded live! In addition to the main editing suite there are three smaller suites, to help meet all your recording needs.
