Tensegrity Repair Series (TRS01)
This class is the first module of a progressive series for the student who wants to go deeper into their body and their yoga practice. There is no experience in any type of movement practice or yoga necessary and there is no need to be flexible or strong - just a willingness to learn, to observe and hear your own body.
Over time, our compression points (bones) and tension points (soft-tissue muscles, fascia) become out of balance and affect the body's structure. The Tensegrity Repair Series, created by Gioia Irwin, is a movement practice designed to bring our bodies back to tensional integrity, rebalancing the tensional web everywhere in our bodies.
Each student will require toe spreaders (optional for the first module, and may be purchased through the instructor), a blanket, a yoga mat, and an optional eye-cover for the session end relaxation. Additional props will be available and used in class.
The Tensegrity Repair Series is instructed by Sharon McGettigan.
