This course is an introduction to the basics of welding. This course is designed to give the individual hands on experience through instruction from a journeyman welder. At the completion of this course, the participants will have a basic understanding of welding equipment and basic welding processes. Processes will be introduced to students that align with their level of experience and tailored to what you want to learn. These welding techniques can be used in fabrication, artwork, agriculture, outdoor power & recreational equipment, and in the oil and gas industry. No personal projects will be allowed.
Required Items: Cotton clothing (denim), coveralls, leather boots (steel-toed not required), leather gloves (gauntlet style), safety glasses, welding helmet and a beanie (helmet and beanie will be supplied if students don't own their own).
