More About Jacobson, Joan
I began my nursing education at the Misericordia School of Nurisng and graduated from the University of Alberta with my BScN in 1997 and subsequently moved to Grande Prairie. I was employed at the QE II Hospital in acute care for 10 years and then made the transition to GPRC as a nursing instructor.
This is my fifth year teaching in the BScN Program here at GPRC, and I currently facilitate tutorial classes in third year as well as clinical courses in first and second year.
I am also studying towards my Masters Degree in Nursing with a teaching focus through Athabasca University in the hopes of completion in April 2013! These courses keep me very busy along with having a family and everything that entails!
I enjoy staying physically active by playing volleyball in my 'spare' time! I am very proud to be a nurse and thoroughly enjoy teaching the future of the nursing profession!
