Vancouver Coastal Health has many exciting opportunities available for new nursing graduates, with full-time, part-time and casual opportunities available. Vancouver Coastal Health's New Grad Program provides new RN graduates with learning opportunities that encourage confidence and competence as they transition into their new graduate practice. This tailored program is available for the first 18 months after nursing graduation and provides learning opportunities to further develop clinical skills and consolidate your practice.
As a Registered Nurse with Vancouver Coastal Health you will: Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary care team to provide nursing care to assigned patients/clients. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care for your designated surgical patient/client group. Participate in discharge planning, function as a client advocate and teach clients and their families about illness/injury and overall health promotion and wellness. Enhance the quality of life of the client/family. Document care provided and respond to incidents in accordance with established policies and procedures. Consult, confer and collaborate with other health care providers. Maintain and advance your own clinical competence. Participate on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
