Before I began my teaching career I worked as a staff nurse in medicine, on the float team and in the intenvisve care unit. More recently I've done some casual shifts in Home Care in Grande Prairie during the summer.
I moved to Grande Prairie for "a couple of years" to teach at the College in 1984. I enjoy my job at the College and have taught a variety of courses.
Currently I am kept quite busy being the Chairperson, but also teacho some courses in Year 3 or Year 4 of the program. My main clinical interest is in caring for adults living with a chronic illness, particularly a cardiovascualar illness.
In my spare time I like to be creative and spend time quilting with friends, or relaxing with a good book.
