AAFC AgriScience Program – Projects This component aims to support specific shorter-term research activities to help industry overcome challenges and address fiscal barriers experienced by small and emerging sectors. They also seek to mitigate high-risk opportunities that have the potential to yield significant returns.

Alberta Innovates: Water Innovation Program Focused on the advancement of knowledge and innovation. To build projects to enhance scientific understanding and developing best practices in managing water security, risk and vulnerability. Ensure excellence in watershed stewardship and ecosystem management. Develop energy efficient technologies for increased water conservation, efficiency and productivity. Four key themes include: 1) future water supply and watershed management 2) healthy aquatic ecosystems 3) water use conservation, efficiency, and productivity and 4) water quality protection.

NRCan Green Construction through Wood (GCWood) ProgramObjective: To encourage greater use of wood in construction projects in Canada.To catalyze a broader awareness of, and domestic capacity for, innovative tall wood buildings, timber bridges and low-rise wood buildings.
