GPRC Howler's Cup

GPRC will be hosting the annual Howlers Cup Floor Hockey Tournament this March and the event is open to all GPRC Students, Staff and Community Members.

Student Wellness, Students’ Association and Wolves Athletics are facilitating a recreational opportunity to enjoy some fun and exciting tournament play. 20 co-ed teams will go head to head in a three day tournament for the chance to win prizes and earn themselves the title of 'HOWLERS CUP' Champion!
This FUNDraiser is in support of our Wolves Athletics Scholarships & GPRC Student Food Bank - building a stronger campus and a stronger community.
Each team will be comprised of 12 to a maximum of 20 people on their roster (including goalies). Each team is placed in pools of 4, and based off of the results from the round robin, teams will compete in the playoff round and have the opportunity to win the sacred ‘HOWLERS CUP’! Each team will be guaranteed five (5) games in the tournament.
For added fun, teams will have the opportunity to participate in a 50/50 Draw and a Silent Auction. A list of items will be made available closer to the event with them on display. Dollars raised will go toward the causes listed above to enhance the experience of our Student Body.
Registration fees include equipment for play, all tournament expenses, a complimentary beverage from Howlers Lounge, and team nacho platters and entertainment in Howlers Lounge on Saturday evening.
Teams who register and then withdraw from the tournament once draws are distributed will be charged a $100 Administration Fee.
*Only teams who 1) complete the registration form, 2) provide a complete roster sheet with signed Waiver Forms & 3) payment, will be confirmed in the tournament.*

Players must be at least 16 years of age or older in order to participate in the tournament
The first puck drops at 5pm Friday afternoon and concludes Sunday afternoon with the Championship game!
Proceeds generated will support the GPRC Student Food Bank in an effort to assist college students with basic living supplies throughout the year and the WPBC Wolves Athletics Scholarship Program, to attract and retain talent to our region.
This event is open to both GPRC Students, Staff and GP Community members.
Team Fee: $400 per team
Fees can be paid directly at the GPRC Fitness Centre in cash, cheque, debit or credit, or over the phone with a Credit Card (780-539-2007)
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, March 7th, 2017
- Complete the Team Registration Form with Team Name & main contact info
- Submit a completed Roster Sheet with Signed Waiver Forms from each participant
- Every participant must sign the Fitness Centre and Howlers Cup event waiver forms by the appointed deadline
- Payment of Registration Fee ($400) received at the GPRC Fitness Centre or over the phone (780-539-2007)

Register by March 1st to ensure you've got a spot as they've been known to fill up quickly! We encourage sports teams, businesses, families, and community organizations to enter a team for a weekend of friendly competition. Registrations can be submitted to the tournament committee representative by email.
