Fitness Instructors Biography
I have always been passionate about being fit and then I discovered I was even more passionate about teaching and helping others get fit. I have been teaching fitness for over 25 years and it's still my very favorite job. Many people have asked, “What motivates me to keep teaching?” My motivation comes from all the beautiful, wonderful people that attend my classes. I become very attached to my people. I love to see them see results. My goal for every person who attends my classes is that they feel successful at the end of each one. Come have fun and get fit.
I've always enjoyed attending fitness classes, and about 6 years ago I decided to become an instructor! Certified by the AFLCA, my specialty is the Sculpt class format. I've enjoyed instructing classes with the Be Fit for Life Centre at Grande Prairie Regional College ever since! I like to make fitness FUN but also encourage my students to challenge themselves to the best of their ability. We have a lot of fun, come check out a class today!
As someone who has suffered from scoliosis, chronic pain, and anxiety my whole life; yoga for me has been a journey to healing. I started practicing yoga after exhausting every other avenue to live a pain free life. Being told numerous times I would never be healed drove my desire to stay consistent with my yoga practice. Five years later I am mentally and physically stronger than I have ever been. After completing my yoga training I believe the journey continues by helping to empower and motivate others on their own journey.
Campus Wellness Fitness Class Line Up for July/August
“Super Sculpt Mondays – Whole body” – Mondays, 12:10pm – 12:55pm; July 18th to August 22nd (5 weeks)
Instructor: Janelle MacRae (No Class August 1st) Cost: $50.00 + GST This class focuses on muscle conditioning for a leaner stronger body. It includes a variety of class designs incorporating strength, core & flexibility. This multi-level class welcomes those new to exercise with options for those who want more.
“Restorative/Therapeutic Yoga” – Tuesdays, 12:10pm – 12:55pm; July 19th to Aug 23rd (6 weeks)
Instructor: Leigh Roberts Cost: $60.00 + GST Gentle stretching and relaxation will help rest and heal your mind, body, and spirit. Modifications, adjustments, and massage will be offered.
“Guts, Glutes & Guns” – Wednesdays, 12:10 – 12:55pm; July 20th to August 24rd (6 weeks)
Instructor: Janelle MacRae Cost: $60.00 + GST Exercises guaranteed to fire up and tone all of your favorite body parts. This muscle conditioning class targets your core, bum and arm muscles leaving you feeling confident and re-energized for the day.
“Yin/Massage” – Thursdays, 12:10pm – 12:55pm; July 21st to August 25th (6 weeks)
Instructor: Leigh Roberts Cost: $60.00 + GST Yoga and massage. Release tension and stress with this mellow restorative practice, supported with bolsters, blankets and blocks. Enjoy the combined benefits of massage and yoga with many different movements flowing into the next. Be aware of your body and mind in this top notch yoga class.
“Legs ‘n BC” – Fridays, 12:10 – 12:55pm; July 21st to August 26th (6 weeks)
Instructor: Janelle MacRae Cost: $60.00 + GST This sculpt class will target your lower body with fun leg exercised, plus a little extra Back and Chest acion. Working your back and chest is important but don't forget Leg Day! This class is sure to leave you wanting more !

- 1 Punch Pass Available - $10.50 inc GST
- 5 Punch Pass Available - $52.50 ($10.50/class) plus GST
- 10 Punch Pass Available - $100 ($10/class) plus GST
- 15 Punch Pass Available - $142.50 ($9.50/class) plus GST
Punch Passes can be used for any of the Campus Wellness Fitness Classes as a drop in format. **Punch Passes purchased for Summer Classes expire August 26th, 2016 No refunds will be issued for punches not used. You must have your punch pass with you for every class in order to participate. Please show your punch pass to the instructor so that it can be initialed.
