Growing up in the small town of Fairview Alberta, Clegg has gained an uncanny open mind set that has allowed him to search for ways to improve his own skills. Clegg has a high level of commitment to sports and recreation as he has helped as an assistant coach to the GPRC Wolves Men’s Volleyball team, and was the coordinator for the Wolves Volleyball Club for several years. Clegg comes to the program as a fellow Wolves Volleyball alumni playing on the Men’s team for 3 years, before moving onto playing and assistant coaching for the University of Calgary Dinos men’s team. There, Clegg graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology degree which makes him not only a gentleman, but a scholar as well! As an easy going, and fun person to be around, Clegg is always willing to chat about sports, life and tell a good joke, so next time you’re near the gym stop by and see if you can tell him a joke that he doesn’t already know.

Climbing Gym Webpage
Bio: David is a GPRC Alumnus who has been involved with climbing and the GPRC Climbing Gym since 2004. He has a passion for climbing and loves to help everyone from the new beginner to the expert climber enjoy the sport as much as he does. David is in charge of coordinating events at the climbing wall and making sure everyone has a great time. If you have an idea for a special climbing night or event, be sure to let him know.
David was a self-professed weakling as a youngster and could not do a single pull-up, let alone climb a tree (or anything else). He is living proof that anyone can excel and have fun at climbing. He has the patience and expertise to help anyone conquer his or her fear of heights and become a “rock star” on the wall.
If you’re feeling like a challenge, or just want to try something different, head on over to the M Wing to get high (up the wall) with David. Climbing is a great way to get in shape, lose weight, and make a lot of new friends.
