How many vehicles can I list on my permit?
You can register two vehicles per permit. If you change vehicles over the course of the college year, come to the Cashier's Office (C315) to update your information.
I only need a parking permit for one semester; where can I purchase it?
One semester parking permits are sold only at the Cashier's Office (C315). Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Fall semester passes are available starting July 15th, and Winter semester passes will be available starting December 1.
How do I get a disabled parking permit?
Disable parking can be purchased at the Cashier's Office (C315). Proof of provincial disability registration is required. Both the GPRC permit and handicapped placard must be displayed when parked in all handicapped stalls.
I am in a trades program; where do I purchase my parking permit?
Students in trades programming can purchase their parking permits directly at the Trades and Technology building on the first day of class for your designated program.
Do I need a permit for my motorcycle/scooter ? Where can I park?
Areas designated as motorcycle parking in Lot C may be used without a permit. All other regular stalls require a permit or pay and display receipt.
When is parking in effect?
Parking permits are required from September 1st to April 30th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Where are the Pay and Display dispensers located?
Dispensers are located in lots C, D, and the Theatre Island for use from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Receipts are valid for any of the above lots with the exception of the College & Community Health Centre (CCHC), which has its own pay and display permits.
What do I do if I can't find a parking stall in my usual lot?
A non-powered permit allows you to park in lots A, C, D, I or K. Powered permits allow you to park in B, F, H, or E. Parking lot D, is the overflow parking for all lots, any permit is valid in lot D.
I am leaving college before the end of the year; what do I do with my parking permit?
Can I transfer my parking permit to a friend or co-worker?
GPRC will provide a pro-rated refund on your permit. Simply return it to the Cashier's Office for a refund for the time left on your permit.
No. However, your friend or co-worker can accompany you to the Cashier's Office and purchase your permit at a pro-rated amount immediately after you have surrendered it for your pro-rated refund. They will need to supply their vehicle make/model and vehicle license information to complete the transfer, to update the permit information.
Is there a waiting/reservation list for parking permits?
Unfortunately we do not have a waiting list; it is first come, first served.
What happens if parking permits are sold-out, what are my options?
GPRC will ensure that everyone who needs a parking permit will have an opportunity to buy one. Due to limitations on capacity, the permit may not be in your most desired location, but we will do our best to accommodate you.
