Canadian Honey Council
The Canadian Honey Council (CHC) is the national organization of the beekeeping industry. It is a not for profit organization, established in 1940 and incorporated in 1950.
The Canadian Honey Council is the national association of beekeepers representing over 8,000 apiculturists across Canada. The CHC provides a forum where producers, packers, professionals, provincial associations and officials from different levels of government can talk and recommend action in the best interests of the Canadian honey bee industry.
Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada
The NBDC-TAC is the result of a partnership between Grande Prairie Regional College (Research & Innovation) and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (Beaverlodge Research Farm).
The NBDC-TAC is located on the Beaverlodge Research Farm and works closely with researchers from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada on bee-related projects.
Canadian Association of Professional Apiculturists
Canadian Association of Professional Apiculturists (CAPA) members study, educate and administrate in the fields of apiculture and pollination.
CAPA meets annually in conjunction with the Canadian Honey Council (CHC) to develop educational material and organise professional initiatives.

Alberta Beekeepers Commission
Serving the interests of the Beekeepers of Alberta since 1933.
Alberta Beekeepers Commission is a non-profit organization of provincial beekeepers, representing over 90% of the 300,000 colonies in Alberta. Most of our members are commercial beekeepers operating more than 700 colonies.
The Alberta Beekeepers Commission serves as a liaison between the province's commercial beekeepers and government to ensure the betterment of the honey industry.
British Columbia Honey Producers’ Association
The British Columbia Honey Producers Association (BCHPA) was incorporated in 1920 to serve Beekeepers of British Columbia.
The BCHPA’s primary goal is to educate and improve the quality of beekeeping throughout the Province for all beekeepers. Through its work, education initiatives and Provincial involvement the BCHPA has been acknowledged by the Ministry of Agriculture as the voice of all beekeepers in the Province of British Columbia.
More than 500 BC beekeepers are members, representing over 25,000 colonies, located throughout the Province from Sooke to Cranbrook and Vancouver to the Peace River area.
Manitoba Beekeepers’ Association
The Manitoba Beekeepers' Association's Mission:
To represent and promote the welfare of the entire Manitoba honey bee industry through; presentations to the federal and provincial governments as required; participation on the Canadian Honey Council and other organizations with similar goals and interests, and to promote a better understanding of beekeeping and honey to the general public.
Saskatchewan Beekeepers' Association
The Saskatchewan Beekeepers' Association (SBA) has been a Non-Profit Organization since 1962.
The SBA is a strong organization with over 150 members. Its membership includes a majority of Saskatchewan's commercial beekeepers as well as an equal number of hobby beekeepers. Saskatchewan beekeepers are an innovative and progressive group, proud of their accomplishments related to honey production, self-reliance as a province, disease control, education and obtaining research funding.
Ontario Beekeepers’ Association
The Ontario Beekeepers' Association's (OBA) Mission is to work to ensure a thriving and sustainable beekeeping industry in Ontario.
The OBA advocates for beekeepers’ interests, supports honey bee health research and delivers practical training and information.
The OBA envisions Ontario leading with well-informed and skilled beekeepers, healthy and plentiful honeybees raised in Ontario, a prosperous beekeeping industry as well as a widespread appreciation for honey and for the critical role that honey bees play in agriculture.
Fédération des Apiculteurs du Québec
Formed in 1979, the Fédération des apiculteurs du Québec (Federation of Beekeepers in Quebec)represents approximately 150 beekeepers across the province of Quebec.
Its first mission is to defend the interests of beekeepers. The Fédération also aims to study, defend and develop the economic, social and moral interests of members.
New Brunswick Beekeepers' Association Inc
NBBA is the provincial organization that represents the beekeepers of New Brunswick. The NBBA has many members, including commercial and hobby beekeepers, and other people interested in the association and its activities.
The NBBA's mission is to: create, maintain and extend high standards of production, preparation and sale of bee products; promote good relations among the members of the Association, with neighboring Associations and with the consumers of bee products; promote the use of the products of the members of the association through good public relations practices; and make available to the members of the Association such information, and supplies as are necessary for the practice of beekeeping.
Nova Scotia Beekeepers Association
The NSBA is a volunteer organization that strives to represent the bees, beekeepers and beekeeping industry in Nova Scotia.
The mission of the Nova Scotia Beekeepers Association is to support and assist Nova Scotia beekeepers in maintaining healthy, profitable and sustainable apiaries through education, communication and the supply of services.
Newfoundland and Labrador Beekeeping Association
The Newfoundland and Labrador Beekeeping Association was established in 2014.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Beekeeping Association's aims are to: facilitate communication and cooperation among NL beekeepers and other interested persons; promote protection and preservation of NL honeybees; promote protection of bee ecosystems in NL including that of native/wild pollinators; promote effective beekeeping practices by educating members and the general public; promote the expansion of beekeeping in NL; provide a voice for NL beekeepers in communication with governments; monitor beekeeping productivity, honeybee health, and other matters of relevance to bees and beekeeping in NL; and promote scientific research that will support the activities outlined above.
