Community Enhancement Research
Overview
Community Enhancement Research (CER) is fully committed to being facilitators for community-based research. CER works closely with community partners to engage in research projects that will ultimately provide socio-cultural, health, environmental, and economic benefits for the diverse and rapidly growing community in and around the City of Grande Prairie. Student development is also a key objective of CER; GPRC students have been engaged in multiple projects at various stages of the research process.
CER formally began in 2015 with a project designed to evaluate the Grande Prairie Police and Crisis Team (GP-PACT). Prior to the formal establishment of CER, GPRC had participated in a number of projects that have benefited the community.
