Applied Research Processes
Responsible Conduct of Research (Research Ethics)
Consistent with the policy requirements of Tri-Council (NSERC, SSHRC and CIHR) and Grande Prairie Regional College, all applied research that GPRC faculty or staff are involved with, either as Principal Investigator or Collaborator, must meet the Responsible Conduct of Research standard. The Tri-Council Policy Statement 2 (TCPS2) is the current version. All human subject or animal subject research is subject to a Research Ethics Review prior to start.
"Research Ethics Board (REB)" is responsible for human subject "Research Ethics Reviews".
GPRC Research & Innovation provides Secretariat Services to the Research Ethics Board and assists with the development and implementation of Human Subject Research Ethics Reviews and Processes.
Animal Care Committee (ACC) is responsible for how animals are used at GPRC including animal subject ethics review. Animal Use Protocols - Research forms are located on the Animal Care Committee webpage.
