News Archives: Undergraduate Student Research Award
GPRC Research & Innovation will be launching a competition for the Undergraduate Student Research Award- valued at $5000, for student research projects beginning in May 2017!
This opportunity is the FIRST of its kind here at GPRC and will be a tremendous opportunity for undergraduate students at GPRC to get involved in writing a research proposal, designing and running their own research project related to mental health and Community Enhancement Research.
Under the mentorship of Dr. Connie Korpan and Dr. Michelle Yeung, students will be able to develop their creative and analytical thinking, organizational, communication, research and project management skills by running their VERY OWN independent research project. Having these skills and research experience will look fantastic on a resume for work experience and applications for graduate and professional schools.
All GPRC students who have completed 60 or more credits by May 1, 2017 are eligible to apply. As part of the application process, we will be hosting an information session on Proposal Writing (how to write a successful research proposal) at 12:00pm on March 24, 2017 in Room A213.
To learn more, please go to Student Services or download the application form here.
If you are interested in applying for this award, please submit your application to Student Services - Financial Aid no later than 4:00pm, on April 13, 2017.
