GRANDE PRAIRIE – GPRC athletes Kennedy Hall and Brooklyn Robert were named Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference (ACAC) All-Conference players tonight at the ACAC Women’s Soccer Championships Banquet held tonight at the Grande Prairie campus.
Robert, a defender, is in her third year with the GPRC Wolves Women’s team. In last year’s season she received the team’s Most Improved Player award and this year was named one of the team’s captains. Originally from Spruce Grove, AB., Robert is taking a combined Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Physical Education degree at GPRC.
“She has really grown and matured during her time at GPRC,” says GPRC Wolves Women’s Coach Chris Spaidal. “Her drive in soccer has been heavily influenced by the dedication and devotion her father has shown in her sport.”
Hall, a Midfielder, originally from Grande Prairie, is in her second year with the team and is studying Physical Education at GPRC. Last year, she was Rookie of the Year for the GPRC Wolves Women’s team.
“She is viewed as one of the most talented distributors of the ball in the entire conference,” says Spaidal. “Her technical ability on the ball and tremendous drive to not only be successful as an individual but have this success lead into team success make her a huge asset to our team.”
Hall’s and Robert’s awards were two of 22 awards presented to athletes from across the province. More information about all award recipients can be found at acac.ab.ca.
