News Archives: GPRC Announces New Head Coach for Men's Soccer
Thursday, June 18th, 2015
GPRC Wolves Athletics is pleased to announce the appointment of Wolves alumnus, Ivan Danielewicz, to the position of Wolves Men’s Soccer Head Coach starting July 2015. Danielewicz replaces Chris Spaidal who has taken a leave of absence for the 2015 season. Spaidal will return to the helm January 2016.
Having played with the Wolves for two seasons (2012-2014), Danielewicz is familiar with the Wolves program; furthermore, his position as Assistant Coach for the 2014/15 season makes for an easy transition into the Head Coach role.
Coach Chris Spaidal said of Danielewicz “I’m very confident in taking a leave at this time. Ivan has been an integral part of the men’s program over the last few years so I don’t see the standard changing much. I will also be available in a supportive role when needed, however, with the growth of my family, I need to take a slightly reduced role over the next season.”
Alongside Danielewicz’s history with the Wolves College program, his involvement in the community has been extensive. He was the Head Instructor for 2014 Wolves Summer Camps and also coaches with the Wolves Soccer Club. Danielewicz was also the Head Coach of the Zone 8 girls’ soccer team that competed at the 2014 Alberta Summer Games.
