Monday, March 23rd, 2015
GPRC Athletics is very pleased to announce that Mitchell Schneider will be assuming the position of Head Coach for GPRC Wolves Men’s Volleyball. He has two seasons of experience as Assistant Coach of Keyano College Huskies, and several years with the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association coaching, managing and developing high performance athletes. Prior to his coaching career Schneider played five seasons of ACAC Volleyball for Keyano College.
“I have for many years admired the GPRC program,” says Schneider. “Grande Prairie has been the model of consistency that other programs should strive for. I have always admired the strength that GPRC has shown for consistently building competitive college teams as well as being influential in developing one of the strongest community club programs in the province.”
Wolves Athletics is looking forward to the coaching skills and energy which Schneider will bring to the program. “We appreciate Mitch Schneider’s coaching philosophy and his understanding of good education principles,” says Athletics Director François Fournier. “We are confident that our program will continue to grow and succeed with him as Head Coach.”
“The opportunity to be involved with a program and community with a model such as that which exists in Grande Prairie is very exciting,” says Schneider. “I am thrilled to become part of it and work toward continued growth and success.”
