News Archives: Lieutenant Governor of Alberta to attend GPRC Fairview 60th Anniversary Celebrations

In an announcement today at GPRC Fairview Campus, Don Gnatiuk, President and CEO brought the good news that Alberta’s Lieutenant Governor will be the honoured guest at 60th Anniversary celebrations being held November 4 & 5, 2011. His Honour, Colonel (Ret’d) The Honourable Donald S. Ethell has accepted the invitation to participate in events planned for Saturday, November 5th. The invitation was extended by the Hon. Hector Goudreau, MLA for Dunvegan-Central Peace. The attendance of Lt.-Gov. Ethell and Her Honour Linda Ethell is warmly welcomed by the Fairview College community, and by the alumni and guests who will be participating in the weekend celebrations. “This visit is wonderful news for our region and our College,” says Gnatiuk. “We are grateful to Hector Goudreau for his role in making this possible, and to Lt.-Gov. Ethell for giving this strong recognition of the significance of sixty years of post-secondary education in Fairview, Alberta.” His Honour the Lieutenant Governor is looking forward to meeting the people of Fairview and GPRC Fairview, and will make a public appearance between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm in the Atrium where program displays are being presented.
