SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant
Objective: Support partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector.
Amount: $7,000-$25,000
Application deadlines: March 15 and June 15
SSHRC Connection Grants
Objective: Connection Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of the Connection program. They support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives.
Amount $7,000-$25,000 for events; up to $50,000 for outreach activities
Application deadlines: May 1
Alberta – Community Initiatives Program (CIP)
The Community Initiatives Program, project-based grant stream supports projects that enhance and enrich communities throughout Alberta by providing assistance to non-profit organizaitons for:
-new programs and initiatives
-community events
-community publications
Maximum funding $75,000 (need matching funds)
Alberta Major Cultural and sport events grant funding is available to help organizations plan and host a single cultural or sport event that is either national or international in its scope and is open to the public.
Maximum funding $250,000
Deadline: April 1 and October 1 each year (projects must be completed within 18 months)
Alberta Community Initiatives
Project Based Grant This program provides funding to new community based programs, initiatives, events and publications.
Operating Grant This grant provides funding of ongoing core operations for non-profit organizations that address social issues
Amount: Up to $60,000
