NSERC ARTI Grant application
Amount: $7,000-$150,000
Application deadline: November 1, 2018
Objective: To support the purchase of research equipment and installations to enhance the capacity of colleges to undertake applied research, innovation and training in collaboration with local companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
SSHRC Connection Grants
Amount $7,000-$25,000 for events; up to $50,000 for outreach activities
Application deadlines: November 1, February 1, May 1, August 1
Connection Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of the Connection program. They support events and outreach activities geared toward short-term, targeted knowledge mobilization initiatives.

SSHRC Partnership Engage Grant
Amount: $7,000-$25,000
Application deadlines: December 15, March 15 and June 15
Objective: Support partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector.

NSERC Connect Grants (OPEN)
Objective: Support activities that will help make Canada a country of discoverers and innovators for the benefit of all Canadians.
Amount (Level 1): Up to $5,000
Amount (Level 2): Up to $25,000
NSERC Engage Grants (OPEN)
University or college researchers can apply to launch a collaborative research and development project that applies their expertise to address a company challenge.
AAFC AgriScience Program – Projects (OPEN)
Objective: To support research activities to address fiscal barriers experienced by small and emerging sectors.
NSERC College and Community Innovation Program – Applied Research and Development Grants (OPEN)
Objective: To provide Canadian companies access to the knowledge, expertise and capabilities available at Canadian colleges and to train students in essential technical skills.
Natural Resources Canada: Clean Energy for Rural and Remote communities: Bioheat, demonstration & deployment program streams
This program is seeking proposals to reduce the reliance of rural and remote communities on diesel fuel for heat and power.
Canada Council for the Arts: Research and Creation
Objective: Support creative research, creation and project development, including residencies.
Alberta Innovates Industry Partnered Funding
Objective: Generate real-world evidence in a clinical setting for new technologies developed by SME innovators that have the potential to address priority needs of Alberta’s health system.
Amount: 50% of total project costs up to $150,000 per project
