Finding Public Domain and Other Copyright-Safe Materials on the Internet
Be sure you understand the copyright or license terms which are in effect on the contents of any website you are accessing.
Attribution of another party's works copied in your own work (in whole or in part) is required by GPRC's policies regarding Academic Standards, Copyright and Plagiarism.
These websites link to various types of royalty-free material which can be accessed without charge but may not be fully Open Access or in the Public domain.
Public Domain Respositories
Works in the Public Domain have no legal owner. Public Domain works are free of charge and may be used without any restrictions whatsoever.
Open Access Repositories
Open Access works are typically free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. Open Access licenses vary in what users are permitted to do with copies of works. The user is responsible for knowing and obeying the terms of an Open Access license.
