Blackboard Collaborate is a web-based audioconferencing tool that allows for real-time discussions. Features include:
- breakout rooms for small group discussion
- text messaging
- surveys and basic assessments
- application and desktop sharing
- a whiteboard with markup tools for visuals
- recorded sessions for convenient playback
No log-in or password is required for Blackboard Collaborate. Simply select the Blackboard Collaborate Task link provided in your course. You will be automatically directed to the GPRC Blackboard Collaborate site.
To take part in Blackboard Collaborate conferences, you will need a headset or speakers and a microphone. The first time that you connect to Blackboard Collaborate, you will need to run through some set-up routines that will run automatically from the server.
