Korean High School Students Enjoying Tour of GPRC

Eight students, all 16 years old, from Korea Tourism Senior High School are currently enjoying their time studying English at GPRC! In addition to their studies, they will be enjoying many tourism and sightseeing activities around Grande Prairie and Northern Alberta.  The students arrived December 28th and will be attending our college until February 22nd. They have already enjoyed sightseeing in Edmonton, visiting the famous West Edmonton Mall, the Telus World of Science, and the Alberta Legislative building. Other highlights of their upcoming tour include bowling, snowshoeing, sledding, skating, curling, skiing and swimming in and around Grande Prairie, as well as a trip to Jasper.

GPRC was recommended to the students by Nam-In (Daniel) Kim who was a former student of our ESL program. His wife is a director for the high school. We are happy to showcase GPRC to these young international students and hope that many of them will return to Grande Prairie when they are ready for College studies!
Please say hello to these students when you see them around the College!

Food for Fines

During exam week, staff and students may pay their library fines with non-perishable food items which are then donated to the GPRC Room of Plenty. Ann Gish and Cathy Hendry from the library presented the items to SA representative, Jules LaPrairie.
