President's Address

The GPRC Community is invited to join President, Don Gnatiuk, in the DJ Cardinal Performing Arts Centre for an all-staff presentation on Wednesday, January 30.
To accommodate attendance by all staff, two 1.5 hour sessions have been scheduled:
10:00 - 11:30 am
11:30 -
1:00 pm

During these sessions, Don will be sharing the findings of the discussions he has had with internal College focus groups and meetings he has had with community members over the past few months. Everyone is encouraged to attend one of the above sessions.

Robert Silverman

February 14th 7:30 pm

Pianist Robert Silverman is the next performer featured in the College Concert Series.  For those of you who are not familiar with his music and his world renowned reputation, a glance at some of the rave reviews he has recieved from many discerning audiences over the years will undoubtedly "tune" you in. To view some of these reviews and learn more about the man himself, visit his website at:

This special performance includes a Valentine Reception hosted by the GPRC Alumni/Foundation's Board of Directors.

Friendship Centre Foundation Bursaries

On January 15th, three GPRC students were awarded bursaries from the Native Friendship Centre Foundation. The Foundation was set up several years ago to support student in following their dreams of furthering their education by helping to offset some of the associated living and moving costs. The bursary funds are administered by the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre on behalf of the Foundation. This year, a total of $5000 was awarded to GPRC students.

Ashley Goodswimmer is from Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation and is in her first year of Education.


Charlene Sundberg is from Yellowknife, NWT and is in her second year of Early Learning and Child Care.


Ashlee Gladue, from Kelly Lake, is currently in her second year of General Studies.  Bonnie Bell attended the bursary presentations on behalf of the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre.
