The GP Century Play - A collaborative opportunity for local artists.
A Community Play takes 2 years to develop - to gather and write stories; to shape the themes from the stories into a play; to build an infrastructure to support the production of the play; to recruit musicians, actors, designers, artists, choreographers, dancers, costume and props people; to gather all the materials; to raise funds; to publicize the play and build momentum; to rehearse; to perform; to document. it will directly touch hundreds of people in its creation, 100 - 200 performers, and an audience of the whole community.
The GP Century Play will be at Borstad Hill in Muskoseepi Park in June 2014. It will be filled with spectacle and music and be accessible for all ages and incomes. Skill building workshops will be offered continuously from March 2013 to December 2013.
