More About Tracy
Tracy King has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years and is a proud GPRC/UofA collaborative graduate of 1999. Tracy's clinical experience includes medicine, palliative care, rural hospital care, addictions and mental health, vascular & thoracic surgical nursing, camp nursing, and private practice with Veteran's Affairs. Tracy have a passion for engaging in nursing practice with equity-seeking populations and ensuring that health care service is fair and just. Tracy has a keen interest in teaching & students and is known to bring her unique brand of humour into the classroom.
Tracy received a Master's degree in Nursing (Education & Leadership) through the University of Saskatchewan. Tracy served as a councillor for the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta from 2016-19 and received the Vogel Award in 2019. She was the President & Board Chair of Resource Centre for Suicide Prevention in Grande Prairie until 2020.
Special interests include the concepts of justice in health care, leadership, collaboration, addictions & mental health and empathy.
