Laura Hancharuk has a degree in Physical Education and Exercise Sciences from the University of Alberta, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Sport Science through the University of Queensland. Laura is certified as a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist, AFLCA Trainer of Fitness Leaders, and is a Course Conductor for the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology’s Health & Fitness Program.
Laura has worked as a personal trainer for over 20 years, and has lectured extensively throughout Western Canada as a motivational speaker and educator on health and fitness related topics. Laura has been teaching for the Department of Physical Education & Kinesiology at Grande Prairie Regional College since 1994. She is also the advisor for GPRC’s Fitness Leadership Diploma Program, a program which she helped to develop in 1998.
Laura is a strong advocate for ensuring that we have professionally certified fitness professionals in Canada and loves being a part of GPRC's Fitness Leadership Diploma Program!
Laura's other passions include keeping up with her very active family; yoga; hiking; kayaking and photography.
