More About Weeks, Khris
This year I am teaching EN0080, EN0090, EN 0110, and EN0120. In past semesters, I have also taught EN0130, LL0110, SL 0120, SL0130, and several math courses.
I was born and raised in New Brunswick, and moved to Grande Prairie after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Saint Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick. After working as a math instructional assistant in Adult Upgrading at Grande Prairie Regional College for many years, I enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program with a specialization in Adult Education at the University of Alberta. Much of this program involved the completion of online courses. I have been employed at GPRC since 1979, working mainly with Academic Upgrading students, but I have also worked in the Registrar's Office as the Coordinator of Student Awards and Financial Aid.
I have two children, now adults, who have attended GPRC to get started on their career paths. My husband is a long time employee of Canadian Forest Products. We came to Grande Prairie with the idea of staying at least two years; it has now been 36 years, and we have seen many changes in the city and at the college. I am happy to make my home in Grande Prairie and to experience all that the college has to offer! I am now teaching the children of my students from several years ago!
