More About Hamilton, Jennifer
I'm thrilled to be one of many outstndaing Faculty in the Nursing Education & Health Studies department at Grande Prairie Regional College. In February 2010 I experienced a 7 week clinical placement, which ignited my passion for instructing.
I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2003 with a Bachelor of Nursing, and continued working on Colorectal Surgery at Rockyview Hospital in my new scope. Shortly thereafter I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to nurse in a small public hospital on the Observation Unit and as a Medical/Surgical float nurse. Saskatoon was my next destination, where I worked on a Urology/Orthognathic Surgical floor, in the Progressive Care Unit, and most recently as a Tuberculosis Nurse Clinician with TB Control Saskatchewan. I maintain a casual position at Valleyview Health Centre to keep up my bedside skills during the summer and into the school year.
I have been an official resident of Grande Prairie since March 2010, and am extremely excited to have ongoing opportunities to inspire students and contribute to the future of nursing excellence within Alberta.
