More About Ballance, Joanne
Joanne graduated from GPRC with a diploma in Business Administration (Marketing) in 2000 and went on to complete a Bachelor of Management degree (International Management) from the University of Lethbridge. Joanne spent her last semester abroad at the L'Universite de Lieige in Belgium. After completing her degree, Joanne worked for the University of Victoria with the Faculty of Business to raise major donations while building faculty alumni chapters in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.
At GPRC Joanne works as Alumni/Development Manager with Community Relations and is responsible for Alumni Services, Fundraising, and the GPRC Alumni/Foundation. Joanne teaches part time in the Department of Business and instructs Introduction to Marketing and Not for Profit Marketing and Public Relations courses. As a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Edmonton Chapter, Joanne volunteers as a faculty member delivering the 2 day Fundraising Fundamentals workshop.
Joanne received her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2005, and is one of 829 Canadians with this designation. CFRE is the only international base-line credential for philanthropic fundraising professionals.
