Department of Physical Education and Kinesiology
Physical Education provides a solid foundation preparing you to pursue a variety of careers, from physiotherapy to teaching, from recreation leadership to athletic training, and from active rehabilitation to sports management. This field of study is so vast with endless opportunities awaiting graduates.
At GPRC we offer a variety of programs to get you started in the world of physical education. Students may complete two years (60 credits) of appropriate course work to allow eligibility for admission to year 3 at the University of Alberta in the following programs:
Bachelor of Physical Education
Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology
Bachelor of Physical Education/Bachelor of Education, combined degree
We also offer:
Bachelor of Arts - Recreation, Sport & Tourism
At GPRC, we offer the first year towards a degree at the University of Alberta. This degree offers opportunities in a number of areas such as recreation, sport management or tourism in the forms of leisure-based travel.
Fitness Leadership Diploma
This two year program is for students with a keen interest in fitness, wellness and in general active living, being a proactive part of the health status of this nation.
