GPRC Arts and Education is excited for the second pilot delivery of our Introduction to Indigenous Governance course in online and land-based learning contexts. We have combined the teachings of Indigenous scholars and wisdom keepers, into a blend of online learning with a three-day land-based component. The land-based learning component reflects Indigenous resurgence through land-based survival skills.
Students will be introduced to Indigenous governance and resurgence through the contemporary perspectives on the political relationship between Indigenous peoples and the state in Canada. This course is offered as a University Transfer credit course for all GPRC students.
To register for this class, please contact Student Services directly at 780.539.2981.
We are offering five (5) seats as Open Access non-credit course for Indigenous peoples. Participants who have completed the Open Access non-credit option will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment from GPRC. Those who register for this option, may apply to take the credit course at a later date. *At this time, the five (5) seats have been filled.
