Leadership - Technical Skills Program (NEW)
Note: This Program is Avalible by Video Conference at GPRC Hinton & Fairview Campuses.
The Leadership Technical Skills Program is designed and built for persons who have completed the Foundations of Leadership program wishing to expand their leadership practice and is well suited to persons with foundational leadership experience. Students will build a customized program from courses examining contemporary issues in leadership.
Enrollment Prerequisite: Completion of Foundations Program or Approval from Program Coordinator via demonstrated leadership capacity through employment.
Each course is two days in duration (8 hours per day).
Courses include a dynamic mix of lecture, case study, and team project work.
Participants must successfully complete five program courses
Participants must successfully complete all program requirements prior to requesting their certificate of completion.
Students may seek advanced standing in GPRC programs following the completion of the program through a prior learning assessment (PLAR).
Participants must complete all coursework within three years.
Participants must successfully complete an exam or course project in each of the programs’ courses.
Participants may select five of the following courses:
LED21 – Technical Business Writing
LED22 – Groups, Meetings, and Presentations
LED23 – Project Management
LED24 – Public Speaking – Speaking Under Pressure
LED25 – Employee Recruitment and Retention
LED26 – Social Media, the Changing Dynamic in the Workplace
LED27 – Proposals, Reports, and RFPs Development
LED28 – Crisis Management
LED29 – Organizational Climate Mitigation and Climate Change Adaptation: The Business Case for Change
LED30 – Emotional Intelligence
