Respect in the Workplace (WRK01)
Description
Respect in the Workplace is designed for all members of the workplace, including employers, managers, supervisors and employees. This course identifies appropriate and inappropriate workplace behaviours, explains key external and internal drivers of a disrespectful workplace culture, and defines normalization and discusses how it impacts an organizational culture over time. You will learn about the three ‘zones’ of behaviour – green (appropriate), yellow (unprofessional and disruptive), and red (illegal), and recognize the negative impact of disrespectful behaviours on individual employees as well as on an organization. You will also learn how to appropriately respond to situations involving workplace harassment, whether as the victim or as the accused; and understand both the informal and formal complaint processes. Lastly, you will understand the roles and responsibilities of management with regard to the identification and resolution of workplace situations involving workplace harassment.
