Fire Extinguisher Training (FET01)
This one-hour course is intended to provide workers with information on the different types of fires, how a fire extinguisher works and the safe operation of an extinguisher. Part 7 of the 2009 Alberta OH & S requires employers to establish an emergency response plan that may require rescue or evacuation. Training is required for any employee who may need to operate any emergency equipment.
We offer a 1-hour basic fire extinguisher training course using the latest in training technology, the BULLEX ™ HOTSHOT ™ Digital Fire Extinguisher Training System. This system is a digital-fire simulator that uses sensor technology to provide a realistic, hands-on training session. We know that every fire situation is different, so the system allows you to train on realistic scenarios in any environment. The practical component of this course can be taught indoors or outdoors, dependant on weather conditions. Best of all, this can be done at your location at a time convenient to you.
This course incorporates a theory session along with a hands-on practical component. The course outline is as follows:
o Introduction, overview & review of your workplace
