Leading Change: Gender-based Violence & the Active Bystander Approach (CRM03)
Leading Change will allow you to explore the impact of society, culture, and the media, in fostering unhealthy beliefs and attitudes surrounding gender roles, and the stereotypes that perpetuate gender-based violence. Using the Active Bystander Approach, you will learn skills to identify gender-based violence and be given intervention tools to apply when witnessing gender-based violence and abuse in your own circles of influence. The material for this workshop is drawn from the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters program, “Leading Change: Inspired Communities”.
