Adobe Illustrator CC (ADB04)
This workshop will introduce the beginner to the workspace, tools, and effects available in Adobe Illustrator. As well, we will discuss the creative side of vector graphics.
Adobe Illustrator allows us to create very detailed graphic elements from scratch. The initial file resembles a blank sheet of paper–it is just white! Unlike Photoshop (where we usually begin with a digital image) Illustrator gives us the freedom to input text, shapes, and colour gradients into whatever configuration we want.
Illustrator is perfect for developing print graphics. Many of the logos we see everyday have been created in Illustrator. Vector graphics are used in print and on the web. They can also be imported into other design applications (Photoshop or InDesign) and saved in various formats for large scale (billboards) or small scale (business cards) print.
This workshop will be taught using Adobe Illustrator CC on the PC computer.
