We are seeking applications for an Instructor to teach courses in: Introduction to the Movement Activities of Children Aged 5 to 12; Human Growth and Motor Development; Physical Education and Leisure for Special Populations; The Spectrum of Dance in Society; and Personal Health and Fitness.
A Masterís Degree in Physical Education, a Bachelor of Education and teaching experience at elementary school level are required. Preference will be given to someone with eclectic physical education/kinesiology background and teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Candidates must be student focused, have a professional attitude, be energetic, enthusiastic and enjoy teaching. This position requires creative methodologies and the ability to motivate students. The candidate would have strong leadership and communication skills as well as initiative. Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office would be considered an asset.
This full-time sessional, tenure track position will commence August 15, 2014 and end May 15, 2015.
