As the Administrative Assistant to the Director, Centre for Research & Innovation you are the first point of contact for the Office of the Director. The Centre for Research & Innovation is the Department of Grande Prairie Regional College that leads the development of applied research and innovation capacity within the college and for the region. This is a unique and fast paced environment.
This position provides a broad range of administrative and business services related support to the CRI, Director and staff, GPRC faculty and also to external groups (e.g. Advisory Committee, Steering Team and Innovation Ambassadors). Major effort is towards day-to-day operations and business support services (financial and reporting). The incumbent is also responsible for presenting a professional and positive image in all matters pertaining to CRI/GPRC.
An Office Administration Diploma and two years’ related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Current knowledge/experience with computers and various software programs; proficiency in Microsoft programs and knowledge of accounting and business processes is essential. We also require data entry and word processing at 60 wpm. A Baccalaureate Degree and or experience in a research environment would be an asset.
This full-time, permanent position will commence September 3, 2013. Grande Prairie Regional College offers an attractive benefits package and a starting salary of $4,344.00 per month.
