BUSINESS SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER
The Business Systems Programmer is primarily responsible for helping with the development of College Business Software applications and customizations and the analysis of business processes as they relate to GPRCs Financial, Human Resources, and Student Services software systems (Agresso and PowerCampus). The position also helps with data extraction, report writing, and integration between the systems and with other smaller systems. The Business Systems Programmer is an integral part of any new business system software implementation at GPRC.
The areas of responsibility included within this position include, but are not limited to:
analysis and improvement of business processes
implementation of new systems to improve/replace existing processes
research/implementation of features within existing systems, with the intent to improve/automate processes
development of customizations/integrations to business systems to improve/automate processes
development of new business system applications (for specific processes)
development /customization of web-based applications to access business system information.
This position is also expected to take on special projects, as they relate to business systems, databases, software packages, or custom programming.
A two-year diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Any related development or database certifications would be an asset. The nature of this position requires the incumbent to possess knowledge in a vast array of differing software packages and hardware components. A high level of technical expertise in C#, ASP.net, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming and report writing is required. Candidates must have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
This full-time, permanent position will commence as soon as possible. Grande Prairie Regional College offers an attractive benefits package and a starting salary of $ 5,542.00 per month.
