HUMAN SERVICES INSTRUCTOR
The Human Services Department requires an Instructor to teach various courses and supervise practicums in the Early Learning and Child Care Program.
A Bachelor's Degree in an Early Childhood specialization or a related discipline; experience preparing, teaching and/or delivering courses is required. Preference will be given to the candidate who has post-secondary teaching experience and recent experience in an early childhood setting or an afterschool care setting.
Applicants must be flexible; have effective interpersonal, oral, written, and organizational skills and the ability to relate well to adults in both the classroom and field practice/practicum setting; be student focused; have knowledge of computers; have familiarity with early childhood programs; work well as a team member; and present a professional image to the public. Candidates must have knowledge of best practice in program for young children; familiarity with current policies and procedures in early learning and child care programs and after school settings; and understand and be responsible to the needs of the adult learner, and develop courses accordingly.
This full-time sessional position will commence in January, 2013, and end April, 2013. Grande Prairie Regional College offers an attractive benefits package.
