Get ready folks for this week’s Workout of the Week (WOW), courtesy of the the PEAK Advanced Methodologies class. WOW’s are posted in two locations in the GPRC Fitness Centre.
These WOW’s are sure to provide a great solution to those who are unsure of what do next in their workout routine or for those who simply want to mix it up. They provide knowledgeable recommendations and well rounded exercises for the fitness goer in everyone.
Each week a different student provides a new workout with a warm up, workout, cool down, as well as useful tips and pointers!
Workout of the week posters can be found in two locations around our Grande Prairie campus!
- Located at the bottom of the stairs into the weight room and
- Located by the water fountain at the top of the stairs in the weight room.
This week’s workout is brought to you by Jesse Bird. Jesse is a second year student in the PEAK Personal Trainer Diploma.
“My focus is on health and wellness in all aspects of life. Through a positive and compassionate approach, I believe that physical training can benefit everyone, regardless of limitations.”
Some reminders from this week’s creator:
Remember to breathe. Breathe out on the exertion, if you’re squatting, breathe in as you lower to the ground and breathe out as you force the weight back up.
Be courteous. Everyone is here to work on themselves. Only weak people try to verbally knock down others because of their own insecurities.
