GPRC Work Out of the Week: October 30, 2017

Unsure of what to do when you go to the GPRC Fitness Centre? Are you in the same boring workout routine? The Advanced Methodologies class Workouts of the Week (WOW’s) are a great solution!

Each week a different student provides a new workout with a warm up, workout, cool down, as well as useful tips and pointers!

Workout of the weeks posters can be found in two locations around our Grande Prairie campus!

  1.  Located at the bottom of the stairs into the weight room and
  2.  Located by the water fountain at the top of the stairs in the weight room.












This week’s workout is brought to you by Lisa Ouellet, a second-year student in the Personal Training Program here at GPRC.

FREE Personal Training Sessions


GPRC Student Wellness is offering FREE Personal Training Sessions with the help of the Physical Education and Kinesiology (PEAK) Department’s Fitness Leadership Students. From now until the end of November, Fitness Leadership student Jayce will be offering his services to all GPRC Students and Staff as part of his practicum experience.


Perfect for people just starting to look into designing a fitness routine; or if you already have that figured out, it will still be a perfect opportunity to get a refresher on some new exercises, and develop new and more specific goals.


He’s offering the following within these sessions

  • Go over a full exercise routine
  • Exercise Consultation
  • Start the building blocks of creating your own Personal Workout Program
  • Familiarizing you with the fitness centre weight room and its equipment
  • Discussing your own fitness and exercise goals





All you have to do is sign up at the GPRC Fitness Centre, include your name and contact information, and the date and time when you’d prefer to meet Jayce for the 1 on 1 session. He is also willing to provide his services to a group of people all at once.
