It is a pleasure to have Rui return for his second year to represent the Wolves. Hailing from Portugal, Rui brings his creative talents to the field. Rui is graceful with a wonderful first touch, close control and tremendous vision. He also has a wicked shot with both feet.

Rui leads by example on and off the field. He is well respected by everyone connected with the soccer. He has a quiet demeanor but has a burning desire to succeed in the game.

Alex Verhun

Alex is in her second year with the Wolves and played an important role in last season’s success. A quiet and unassuming leader, Alex earns the respect of everyone with her phenomenal work-rate on the field. Alex leads the team with her play on the field. She competes for every ball, wins tackles and creates when in possession and continually showing tremendous stamina. Alex also possesses a super shot.

Off the field, Alex is an ideal student-athlete. Mature and balanced in all that she does, Alex always shows humility, respect and integrity.

Congratulations Rui and Alex!

Program: Business Administration
High School:
Charles Spencer High School

Chris is one of the many rookies within the Men’s soccer program this season and is studying Business Administration.

A local graduate from Charles Spencer High School, Chris can fill a number of roles but with his technical ability and range of passing he suits a midfield berth. Chris is a good communicator on the park, always wants the ball and works hard for his teammates when not in possession. He has great awareness and vision with the ball at his feet.

We hope Chris will have a successful time representing Wolves soccer in the next few years.

Program: Open Studies
Hometown: Edmonton, A.B.

Originally from Edmonton, Kevin has returned to represent the Wolves for a third time.

Kevin is a gifted player. His composure and close control in tight situations is phenomenal. His first half display against Augustana Vikings last weekend was a joy to watch. His long range passing is quality and helps provide a calmness in the middle of the park. His beaming smile reflects a friendly personality and we hope he continues to represent the Wolves as he continues his studies.
