Peace Country Idol 2016

The 14th Annual Peace Country Idol competition that takes place at GPRC has wrapped up for another year. A GPRC Business student run event, the competition includes local talent from Grande Prairie, Alberta and surrounding areas auditioning to win the grand prize of $1,000 and be named the next Peace Country Idol!

This year was just as successful as the past, with amazing talent and a close-competition.

The Grand Finale was held November 26 at the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre, where 19-year-old, GPRC Student, Olivia Francis-Akolo was named the 2016 Peace Country Idol Winner!

On top of this excitement, GPRC Business students raised $8060.00 for ANSO Collectives and Educational Support Society. ANSO is dedicated to the advancement of education, the relief of poverty, and the improvement of the status quo in disadvantaged communities in Africa, North America and Cambodia. 

A job well done to GPRC Business students for another successful Peace Country Idol competition.
