GPRC Wolves Athletes of the Week: September 12, 2016

Brooke Robert
Program: Bachelor of Kinesiology and Education
Hometown: Spruce Grove, AB
High School: Jasper Place High School

GPRC Wolves Women’s Soccer is very proud to have Brook Robert back for her 4th season with team. Brook is originally from Spruce Grove, Alberta and is enrolled in the Bachelor of Kinesiology/Education program at GPRC.

Brook was named to the 2015 ACAC North All Conference team as a top rated defender. She brings to the team a lot of leadership skills and is a great role model on and off the field. Brook’s strengths are reading the game and providing a very strong defensive presence both for her teammates on the back line and in nullifying of opponents’ offensive threats. We are excited to have her back and look forward to her continued development as one of the top centre backs in the conference.

Janai Martens
Program: Bachelor of Kinesiology
Hometown: Grande Prairie, AB
High School: St Joseph Catholic High School

GPRC Wolves Women’s Soccer is very excited to have Janai Martens join the team in her first ACAC season. Janai is a 2016 High School graduate of St. Joseph High school and is a proud home grown product of the GPRC Wolves Soccer Club.

She brings to the team a tremendous offensive presence with her speed, hard work ethic and positive attitude, which is evident with her 2 goals scored in her ACAC debut game. We are extremely pleased to have her part of or program, and are confident she will add a lot of quality to already strong women’s soccer program.
