GPRC Wolves Minor Basketball Club
Minor Basketball Details for This Year!
The Wolves Minor Basketball Club’s affiliation with the Steve Nash Basketball Program is now in its seventh year and will once again provide young people the opportunity to develop their basketball skills. The program runs from the end of September until late November, with all of the age groups playing on Sunday afternoons in the timeframe of Noon – 6pm. Age groups will now be run as Skill Sessions, ran by main instructors, with 2/3 of the time focused on learning fundamentals of the game and the remainder of the time being focused on games and scrimmages.
Athletes are divided into age groups and not specific teams. This will allow athletes the chance to play with different teammates in their age group. All basketball rules are the same for all ages. Minor Basketball is played the same as regular basketball. 5-7 year old genders are combined, games are based on 3 on 3 competition, and we use a small ball and the baskets are lowered to 8 feet. For the 8-10 year olds are divided by genders, the baskets are lowered to 9 feet and they too play 3 on 3 games. The 11-13 year olds are also divided by gender and play 4 on 4 games on regulation height baskets
Season starts with the GPRC Wolves kickoff Day at the GPRC Gymnasium on Sunday, September 27th.
The season ends with athletes participating in a GPRC Wolves Basketball Skill Day, where they will hit the court for a training session with GPRC Wolves Basketball athletes. Photos will be taken of the group and the individuals and will be available to purchase through various packages for each athlete. Team Photos dates to be determined at a later date.
The program is for all players who are aged 5 or still 13 by December 31, 2015. This is a fun league focusing on skill development and equal instruction and playing time.

(such as Daycare or Music lessons):
Please call 780-539-2704 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain their student ID. After obtaining your child's student ID number, you will have to request an account for him or her.

Please create a new myGPRC account for your child by clicking here. (You will be redirected to Continuing Education - please follow the steps to create a new account from there!)
2. Log into your child's account
Now with your newly created account, please log in using your child's student ID number as the username and the temporary password that was emailed to you. These passwords often contain a lot of characters, so it is easiest to copy and paste this password back into the login. You will then be prompted to change your password.
